This exhibition brings together a selection of student works developed within courses that study the human head as a model, either in a primary or secondary way — namely the curricular units "Drawing of the Human Head", "Digital Drawing", and "Concept Art".
The aim of the exhibition “Lines of Time, Didactics of the Portrait” is to present the range of available approaches for the careful study of the human head.
Interdisciplinarity allows for an engagement with drawing in action or already constructed, where digital techniques offer continuity to analog graphic solutions and developments.
Thus, sets of drawings are presented that correspond to various specific approaches to the head — not only as a study subject but also as a pursuit and affirmation of portraiture.
In this way, strategies and methodologies are outlined that traverse a history and philosophy — reviewed, reformulated, and reinterpreted in light of new contemporary tools.
