Dialogue as a Cause
"A painting can’t change things; it shows things — that’s all.”
Kerry James Marshall
In 2025, the VI International Art Biennale of Gaia / Biennale of Causes, comes to the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
This biennale venue aims to foster different dialogues — between generations, art forms, geographies, and ways of looking at art and the world.
In an era dominated by monologue, we propose the challenge of dialogue as a contemporary cause.
Art emerges from the ability of artists to observe the world, and in this venue, each artist invites us into their unique vision of how we perceive the shared Time we inhabit.
From June 12 to July 12, this venue can be visited at the Gallery of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
